JOURNALIST SEEKS WORK
Hi! I'm Robin!
As a working journalist for nearly a decade, my byline has appeared in numerous national and local outlets, including the Sacramento Bee, the Chico Enterprise-Record, Sacramento Magazine, Capitol Weekly, the Chico and Sacramento news & reviews, SacTown magazine, Comstock's magazine, YourTango, Bustle, HelloGiggles, Courthouse News Service, TechWire
and much more!
Editor
I have extensive editing experience in newspaper, magazine, opinion and feature journalism, as well as in audio. Being a good editor requires finely-honed writing skills, even more so than as a writer, because editing is about making someone else's words sing.
Producer
Even though I was born with a severe speech impediment, I worked hard to overcome it, and I now produce several podcasts and audio-based projects. I've also worked as a reporter and anchor for news radio stations in multiple states.
Advocate
Good journalism thrives in a community that supports its own. That's why I've previously served on the board of directors for the Sacramento Press Club and the Sacramento Online News Association. I'm also the founder of Millennials in Media, a mentorship program for young journalists, and the founder of the Future of Journalism podcast, which shines a light on the unique issues journalists face in the first 10 years of their career.

"Inhaled" is a five-part feature series with a companion podcast created for the Chico Enterprise-Record, and published in June and July 2019.
In five unique stories and episodes, this series investigates the physical effects of wildfire smoke on Northern California following the devastating Camp Fire on Nov. 8, 2018.
"Inhaled" presents a deeply-researched look at what was in the air that November day and who was affected.
In this series, I asked readers to consider what comes next in our changing climate — where wildfires are not just a probability in the future of California, but an inevitability.
